The Great Truth of Unity
Heraclitus, the Greek philosopher, asserted the great truth that ‘All things are one.’ However, this unity embraces difference, opposition, and change. Day and night, up and down, living and dying, heating and cooling—all these pairs of opposites follow the rational formula (logos) that unity consists of opposites Historical Figures in Ancient Greece.
